Account Manager

Manage company relationships with customers and develop sustainable partnerships. Identify and develop new business opportunities, surpassing company and divisional goals. Assist the Company in formulating strategy, promotions, products and services across a major section of the business.

Work Base: Home-based, travelling to customers sites in Staffordshire, Derbyshire and South Yorkshire as necessary.  
Salary: £28,000 - £40,000 pa
Contract: Full time, permanent
Hours: 40 per week

Responsible To: Managing Director


  • Highly motivated, organised, focus driven individual with professional business appearance
  • Business development and account management experience
  • Good communicator and able to liaise at all company levels
  • Full driving licence (required, preferably clean)
  • Competent IT skills (E.g. ECDL or equivalent)

Main Activities:

  • Maintain and develop local and national accounts
  • Sales and lead management of non emergency sales / quote enquiries
  • Coordinating tyre inspection activities in conjunction with service managers
  • Maintain the tyre management system TCS (Tyre Control System)
  • Company representation at conferences, exhibitions and societies etc.
  • Ensure that the Quality Management System (QMS) confirms to ISO 9001: 2015 & ISO 45001 and the integrity is maintained
  • Ensure processes are delivering intended outcomes
  • Report to Top Management on the performance of the QMS; on opportunities for improvement; on change requirements; on innovations
  • Ensure the promotion of customer focus
