Work Base:​ Petersfield Depot & South East
Contract: ​ Full time, permanent
Hours: ​40+ hours per week
Salary:​ £26,000‐£30,000 pa depending on experience + company vehicle +bonuses
Valid Until:​ 26 February 2016

Reporting To:  Regional Manager


  • Full driving licence (preferably clean)
  • Knowledge of OTR tyres and the mining/construction/quarrying industry (preferable, not essential)
  • Maths & English (written & verbal) in good standard
  • Working knowledge of IT including Google (preferably ECDL or equivalent)

Purpose:  To oversee the smooth running of one or more depots operating within a business region. To generate sales and develop sustainable commercial contracts aimed at maintaining profitable business.  Assist the Business Development Manager in generating and developing new commercial contracts.

Main Activities:

  • Organise themselves and prepare their own day efficiently
  • Responsible for daily operations, procedures, staff, vehicles and equipment
  • Manage, lead and motivate a team of fitters to ensure customers’ needs and business objectives are achieved
  • Manage and deploy depot equipment, resources and facilities to ensure efficient service
  • Work autonomously within the job role, completing objectives provided by the Regional Manager while meeting all business and company objectives in line with the company mission statement
  • Develop and maintain business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory  to generate new business
  • Fulfilling administrative processes and procedures, including compliance with health, safety, environment and quality programmes
  • Plan and organise all sales activities to satisfy customers’ needs
  • Manage customers professionally while maintaining a high level of drive to set the highest possible customer service levels
  • Maintain and provide an excellent service to meet company and customer requirements
  • Perform regular sales reports and forecasting
  • Ensure that the Quality Manage System (QMS) conforms to ISO9001: 2015
  • Ensure processes are delivering intended outcomes
  • Report to Top Management on the performance of the QMS; on opportunities for improvement; on change requirements; on innovations
  • Ensure the promotion of customer focus
  • Ensure the integrity of the QMS is maintained
