Work Base:  Yeovil Area
Contract: Full time, permanent
Hours: 40+ hours per week
Salary: £32,000‐£38,000 + company vehicle + bonus
Valid Until: 31 October 2016


  • Business Management Training (preferable, not essential)
  • Knowledge of OTR tyres and the mining/construction/quarrying industry (preferable, not essential)
  • Full driving licence (required, preferably clean)

Work to improve productivity, customer relations, and surpassing company and regional goals. Coordinate, mentor and motivate managers. Conduct depot and customer site visits to assess the conditions and recommend changes. Carry out performance evaluations to ensure that their team is on the right path to achieving company and personal goals.

Reporting To: Operations Manager and Business Manager

Main Activities:

  • Implement and enforce company processes and procedures
  • Visit depot locations regularly
  • Assess the productivity and achievements of the depots
  • Identify and recommend areas for improvement
  • Work closely with depot and sales managers
  • Mentor employees
  • Review measures to achieve performance and financial targets
  • Prepare, review and report on business plans, budgets and expenditure
  • Recruiting and interviewing of employees
  • Plan and coordinate appraisals and training requirements
  • Be able to organise themselves and prepare their own day efficiently
  • Working knowledge of IT including Microsoft Word, Excel and Google
  • Negotiate customer contracts
  • Develop and maintain business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory to generate new business
  • Attend conferences, events and meetings
  • Ensure that the Quality Manage System (QMS) conforms to ISO9001: 2015
  • Ensure processes are delivering intended outcomes
  • Report to Top Management on the performance of the QMS; on opportunities for improvement; on change requirements; on innovations
  • Ensure the promotion of customer focus
  • Ensure the integrity of the QMS is maintained
