Team T & C rise again – but this time it’s the guys turn. Mike Leedham, Jason Shorrock and Jason Bould are going to be running in the EDF Birmingham Half Marathon on Sunday 24th October 2010 – The Race Against Climate Change.
Team T & C – (L-R) Mike Leedham, Jason Bould and Jason Shorrock
Last year this event won the Gold award from the Council for Responsible Sport (ReSport) – making it the greenest event of its type in Europe. The EDF Energy Half Marathon won this award on the basis of a number of categories including recycling and disposal of waste, type of equipment and materials used, sourcing local suppliers and much more.
Our team will be running to raise money for Cancer Research. Cancer Research UK is the world’s leading charity dedicated to beating cancer through research. Their groundbreaking work into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer has saved millions of lives. Survival rates have doubled in the last thirty years and they have been at the heart of that progress. However, one in three people will still get cancer at some point and their vital work, funded entirely by the public, will help ensure that millions more people will survive.
I hope the guys are training hard (I know Mike is, but I’m not sure about the two Jasons). Any donations in support of their efforts would be gratefully received. Please send to:
