Hillhead 2024 Review

T&C Site Services at stand U1

This week, T&C Site Services hosted their exhibition stand at Hillhead 2024. We welcomed many visitors, current customers and some new; able to relax, enjoy refreshments, and take in our informative and dynamic showcase. Marangoni and ToughTech joined us on the stand to complement our staff and support with their re-tread and TPMS products respectively.

Introducing the Infinity Handler

T&C Site Services introduced its brand new fitting truck and tyre handler at Hillhead 2024.

Designed by Truck & Marine Cranes Limited in partnership with T&C, the handler currently complements a similar, smaller version already in use. This handler represents a significant advancement for on-site services;

• Handles 15-49" tyres.

• Continuous 360 degrees rotation

• 140 degrees angle of tilt

• Lighter and stronger than existing handlers

• Reduces requirement to manually handle smaller OTR tyres

Once this handler passes with flying colours, a version that can lift up to 4.5 tonnes is up next. This innovation demonstrates T&C's commitment to investing in our fleet; one of our three pillars; alongside technicians and management.

ToughTech Tyre Pressure Monitoring System

ToughTech joined us on the stand to demonstrate ATLAS, their excellent tyre pressure monitoring system. Joe Adams, Account Manager, spoke with Graham Gardner of ToughTech and was given a demonstration. Graham explained the different sensors, external valve fitted and internal tyre. He also explained how the wheel nut detection works, and how all of this can be delivered in cab. It is a very flexible, independent, system that is in use around the world.

Marangoni Re-tread Showcase

Remould tyres represent an excellent value and environmental saving. Our stand at Hillhead 2024 included a Marangoni re-tread showcase that highlights the various stages of the process. Reinhard Klant of Continental and Christoph Brinkmann of Marangoni joined our own Steve Smith to talk about the product, saving up to 60% original material and attaining up to 80% tyre performance in the second life. Marangoni is recommended by T&C Site Services and boasts excellent performance in a variety of OTR applications.
