We are thrilled to announce that our total tree count has reached 34,384Â trees!
A special shout out to Nhanvengo, Sofala, Mozambique, where weâve helped Carma plant 8,538Â trees.
Why Nhanvengo?
Nhanvengo, located in Dondo District, Sofala, Mozambique, saw passive conservation during the 1977-1990 Civil War due to rural inaccessibility. Post-war, deforestation spiked with increased industrial activities. The area, prone to destructive cyclones, faces significant agricultural challenges affecting food security and income.
By collaborating with the local community, Carma is restoring the forest using native species and promoting sustainable livelihoods to break the cycle of environmental damage. This effort helps improve food security, protect the region from cyclone damage and support local incomes.
Thank you to all our customers who have contributed. Together, we are driving towards a greener future - one tyre, one tree, one step at a time.Â
We would like to thank all our customers who have supported this programme. Your contribution isn't just in the tyres you buy; it's a greener and healthier future for us all.Â
